Everyone wants to be more productive. They want more drive, motivation, and efficiency. Well, it turns out that there’s something you can do starting tomorrow that can give you that. You can finally have the drive and ability to start the work that you’ve been putting off. Whether that’s getting in the gym or learning a new skill. It’s simple: wake up early. Stick with me here. This is going to come full circle at the end and you’ll understand. I know your mind probably thinks that’s way too simple. There’s no way that just waking up early can all of a sudden give you the superpower that you’re looking for, but I’ll explain why.
The good and badI’ve been waking up early forever and have both hated and loved it. It started when I was young working on the family farm. I’d wake up early to go do morning chores or go hunting. That’s when I first realized the power of waking up early and what it does for you.
But then I graduated from college. I’d been away from the farm for a while at this point and had developed and then fixed some serious sleep problems. I got a job and had to wake up at 4:30 just to get there on time without getting stuck in traffic. This is not the beauty I’m talking about when I say to wake up early. Just waking up early to go do something you hate will not give you the same energy as it would if you were going to the gym or spending time alone. This time is for yourself. For your own soul. To be alone and to work on something that helps you move towards your own personal goals. Which brings us to the first main point. StructurePeople who wake up early for a purpose are the people that have their shit together. Simple as that. Like I said in the beginning, whether it’s to get to the gym, learn a skill, start a business, or just to be alone before the world wakes up. If you’re waking up early you’re doing it for a reason. These days I do it to write stuff like this before work. You wake up early to work on something you care about, and then everything falls in to place. You go to work, you go straight to the gym, you come home and make dinner, you wind down before the next day, and by the time your head hits the pillow you’re practically already falling asleep. It’s wonderful. Everything starts to fall in to place and revolve around that time in the morning. That morning work block becomes the main priority, but there are things that still need to get done like work, the gym, family, whatever. So you end up structuring everything to both:
Things just start to figure themselves out:
The person that wakes up early is the person who is constantly improving to be the best they can be for themselves and their family. They end up doing meaningful work, providing for those they care about, and being strong physically, mentally, and emotionally. Why?The reason this works is because of testosterone. This is also why it freaking sucks at first and then becomes the greatest thing ever after some commitment. Sleep is probably the single most important factor when it comes to testosterone levels. Everyone always says to fix your sleep to fix your testosterone, but this is why: Your testosterone peaks as you wake up and slowly declines throughout the day with another little push before you go to bed. So, you shouldn’t just get the same amount of sleep each night. You should go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Once you fix this and get into a routine of sleeping good and sleeping at the same time each day, you’ll notice that your testosterone cycle has adjusted, and will be at it’s peak for the first few hours you’re awake. You now combine this with everything we talked about already.
Now, I spoke in an earlier video about testosterone and how it has to do with lifestyle more than anything. This is where you build that upward cycle for your testosterone. You fix your sleep, you wake up with a purpose, you workout hard, you eat a good diet, and it’s all challenging you to be better. This is exactly where you want to be. Full circleSo the superpower isn’t exactly waking up early, it’s testosterone. Our own personal built in superpower that we just don’t really know how to access. Instead of just trying to “fix your sleep” or “workout hard” to have higher testosterone, you’re now putting it all together, using something something you care about as your main driver, waking up early to do it, and then structuring everything else around that. You make it happen even though it’s challenging, and your higher testosterone levels will help you make it all happen. You end up in a cycle where your lifestyle requires high testosterone, and your high testosterone levels give you the energy to live the lifestyle you have. Wake up early. Structure your life. And Challenge yourself. It’s the best thing you can do. |

They say that 90% of success is just showing up — which I believe is true — it just isn’t the full story. The problem with deciding that you’re going to “just show up” is the mentality that comes along with it. Just showing up will eventually boil down to “good enough”. And showing up and doing “good enough” will get you results that are exactly that — good enough. But I know you want better than that. For a lot of the things we do in life, good enough is fine. But we all have a few specific...
Everyone wants to be more efficient. To be more productive. To be more organized. To work on the side hustle they want to make their main hustle. To be able to enjoy the moment because their work is taken care of. Now I don’t know exactly what it is you’re missing, but I do know that a 5am morning routine can help. I’ve already talked about the importance of waking up early before. It’s the first domino that falls in the process of getting your life together. You wake up early and everything...
I accidentally figured out the perfect way to completely change your diet so that you can eat right, lose weight, and stay healthy for the long term instead of losing a bunch of weight just to gain it all back. I got here because of my two knee surgeries. I spent 8 months hardly moving at all and my diet started to slip because of it. I ended up putting on about 20 pounds in those 8 months. It sucked. I thought once I was able to move again I’d lose the weight in no time simply because I...
